Electromagnetic Fields

Electromagnetic fields (EMFs) arise whenever electrical energy is used

It has been known for a long time that exposure of people to high levels of EMFs can give rise to acute effects.

The effects that can occur depend on the frequency of the radiation. At low frequencies the effects will be on the central nervous system of the body whilst at high frequencies, heating effects can occur leading to a rise in body temperature.

If you operate or work within an environment that uses high currents or equipment that uses radio frequency equipment then you will be obligated to meet the requirements of the Control of Electromagnetic Fields at Work Regulations 2016.

Typical workplace environments effected by the legislation include:

Factories, Bakeries, Production lines and Power generating facilities (substations etc).

Euro Environmental can conduct site surveys to assess the levels of EMF in accordance with the Control of Electromagnetic Fields at Work Regulations and provide a comprehensive report to evidence compliance and provide further guidance for applying the regulations.
